Grünsfeld/ Distelhausen. After a two-year forced break from Corona, Volker Bohlender was particularly looking forward to the end-of-year celebration with his staff at the restaurant Alte Füllerei in Distelhausen.
In his review of the year, the Managing Director went into detail about the two Corona years 2020 and 2021, which were a great challenge for everyone. He already informed about the company figures and new employees in a staff meeting in November, so the focus of his speech was on the current year. In 2022, the sales team again took part in many smaller and larger laboratory trade fairs at home and abroad and so the third Bohlender brand "b.safe", which was newly introduced in 2020, could finally be presented live to the trade public. Despite the still difficult and challenging times, Bohlender is not losing sight of the company’s future. Investments were made in the machinery and vehicle fleet, a new recreation area with benches for breaks was built in the outdoor area, and a bicycle shelter for the company's bikers is currently under construction.
The end-of-year party is always an occasion for Volker Bohlender to thank the entire team for their commitment and loyalty. Long-serving employees are especially honoured. This year, the employees celebrating their jubilee are: Julia Merk, Johannes Hörner and Vitali Späth for 5 years. German Merk for 10 years, Kornelia Schenk and Wolfram Winkler for 20 years. The outlook for the new business year also shows the high motivation of the entrepreneur: in spring 2023, the delivery of a new CNC lathe and a CNC lathe and milling centre is scheduled, a works outing is planned in early summer and the introduction of employee benefits with discounted shopping opportunities at regional companies is already coming in January.
